Published: 27 April 2026 ![](https://derbyshireswiftconservation.org/hubfs/Saturday-9th-May-11.00-a.m-1024x750.jpg) Derbyshire Swift Conservation are delighted to announce that we'll be hosting a stall at this year's SkyDancer Day at Attenborough Nature Reserve on Saturday 9th May, 11am. --- "The nationally important reserve was opened in 1966 by Sir David, and is home to Kingfishers, Bitterns, Sand Martins, Otters and hundreds of bird, plant and insect species. This year's event is set to be extra-special as it celebrates Sir David Attenborough's 100th birthday! Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust have a jam-packed day planned including Otter Walks, Moth Trapping and Optics Demos for anyone wanting to upgrade their binoculars and telescopes for the upcoming Swift season! Head down to Attenborough Nature Reserve on Saturday 9th May to chat everything Swift with trustee Andy and volunteer, Di on the Derbyshire Swift Conservation stall.
